Lower Subansiri: In a devastating incident on 10th November 2023, a fire engulfed the residence of Shri Likha Togu in Mwya Village, Pistana Circle, Lower Subansiri District. The flames, which erupted tragically, resulted in the loss of a three-year-old child and consumed the entire household, including precious local ornaments and a Scorpio vehicle.
President R.T. Tara of Nyishi Nyidung Mwngjwng Rallung (NNMR), accompanied by Executive members Shri Yowa Son, Shri Nangbia Tapin, and Dr. Upen Techi Tara, visited the site to express solidarity. The NNMR delegation provided relief materials and financial assistance to support the victim’s family in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
President NNMR, R.T. Tara, appealed to the District Administration and Disaster Management Department to promptly visit the scene, emphasizing the urgent need for necessary assistance in the immediate rehabilitation of the affected family. The community is grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event, seeking support and intervention to ease the path to recovery.
