Two died, five grievous injured in a road accident in Kra Daadi

Palin, Jun 12: Two persons reportedly died on the spot while five others received grievous injuries when a JCB reportedly got a brake fail between Lungdung-Chambang around 1 and half kilometer before reaching Kurung bridge in Kra Daadi today. Informed an official.

 Kra Daadi SP Dusu Kaling informed that a private JCB working for a private firm on Palin Chambang road met with an accident at around one and half kilometers near Landung-Chambang before reaching Kurung bridge at around 1230 hours today.

As per information 5 persons were on the bucket of the ill fated JCB while 4 persons were sitting in the cabin nearby driver seat. Due to steep slope the said JCB reportedly got brake fail and rammed through a labour camp leaving behind two labourers dead on the spot and five critically injured. SP said. Till late evening one body has been retrieved from the accident site and efforts are being made to retrieve another body.

The grievously injured persons have been brought to Palin for urgent medical attention and treatment. All five injured workers are stated to be safe. he said. A team of police from Palin police station is monitoring the rescue operation and expected to reach Palin by late night.

 The deceased has been identified as Abdul Haque, 22 years of Bongaigaon district and Samosar Rabha of Chirang district. Both the deceased are from Assam, SP said.

The labourers of the labour camp are unhurt while two labourers of JCB are also unhurt as per information. He said.

The driver of the JCB is also stated to have received injuries. SP added.

A case has been registered at Palin Police station and under investigation is on.However the exact cause of the accident is yet to ascertain and matter is under investigation. SP further said.
