ITANAGAR, JULY 16 ; Two Under trial prisoners (UTP) who went on run and escaped from the Jully Jail last night were caught by the police within an hour. Informed Capital SP Jimmy Chiram.
Chiram said that the two UTP from July Jail who were on run had been caught within an hour of their escape from the Jail on Thursday night.
As per information it was reported that two UTP has escaped from the Jully jail after bending the window rod of their ward after climbing the high wall of the jail campus. he said.both the UTP has been identified as Tani Pasang, 19 yrs related to case of Naharlagun Police station and Nabam Tuku, 20 yrs related to case of Doimukh Police station. He said.
On receipt of information the police personnel were alerted and one of them was caught there itself within 10 minute while another was apprehended from the Him International School area in Jully within an hour. SP said.
As per Jail authority sources informed that two UTP who were in an isolation ward in the Jail with other inmates had run away from the cell. As per information one of the UTP has been injured while jumping from the high wall.
