ITANAGAR, The Tarh Welfare Society (TWS) on Sunday here at Jullang general ground during its VI foundation day and 4th general conference has resolved to fight against the drug menace and work for promotion of education sector of state.
More than one thousand members from Tarh welfare society has witness the two days 4th general conference and VIth foundation day has deliberation on various social issue confronting the society and has adopted two resolution to fight the drug menace which is affecting the precious life of the youths of the state and also resolved to work for the up liftment of education sector and promotion of education scenario of state and termed the education as backbone society..
Addressing the huge gathering, TWS outgoing Chairman Tarh Tarak said that it is a matter of great concern that the youths who are the future of tomorrow are being found engaged in drug menace and the state police has waged war against drug, Tarak requested the youths to stay away and do not associate with any person who are involved in drug trafficking or drug addiction and stay safe and secure. He said.
In two days the youths and members has take parts in several games and sporting activities, cultural and literary activities. Apart of co ocular activities today prizes were given away to the winners and also the meritorious students and achievers in various fields were also felicitated and awarded with the citation and certificates. Tarak said.
The technical session has witness brainstorming session where all the intellectuals and professionals and officers of Tarh community has discuses issues prevailing in the society and state. he added.
The most important was discussed to promote and preserve the traditional dress and attire and also preserve the cultural ethos of the society and work with other NGOs, administration and department of state for upliftment of tradition and culture of society. Tarak said.
The new executive body has also been constituted under the leadership of Er.Tarh Hachéy as Chairman and Tarh Kama as General secretary with 35 executive members elected who resolved to work for TWS and general public as a whole.
TWS General Secretary Tarh Kama, Organsing Chairman Tarh Miri, senior leader H R Talo, Tarh Lejik, Tarh Gunkap, Tarh Janu, Tarh Rai, Tarh Tabin among others also address the foundation day celebration.
