GUWAHATI, MARCH 15 : The National people’s party (NPP) has so far identified 34 assembly constituency in state of Arunachal Pradesh where the party can field candidates for the upcoming assembly election. Said NPP National general secretary and Incharge Arunachal Pradesh James Sangma.
Speaking to media, the former Minister of Meghalaya and NPP leader James Sangma said that our NPP is a part of NEDA and accordingly our state unit is also active to take part in the upcoming election and our leaders has also geared up. Today almost all the state executive members alongwith the state President and Working President has discussed all pros and cons and discuses all issues related to the upcoming simultaneous election in state. Said Sangma.
“ I am happy today that today meeting was a fruitful one where every executive members and senior members of party and several others former ministers and former MLAs has attended the meeting”. “ I am equally happy to share that several senior members and prospective aspiring candidate has come to join our party and we are giving them platform”. He said.
We are assessing the prospective of the aspiring candidate and the list will be prepared and it will be send for approval and will be announced accordingly. Very soon the mass joining ceremony may be held and the names of prospective candidates will be announced. He said.
The NPP main motto is regional aspiration and national outlook and with these agenda we put forward priority the regional issues at the national platform for consideration of masses and government. He said adding that the door of the NPP is open for all those who did not secure party ticket in other political party or those who were waiting for party ticket from BJP can join the NPP and they are most welcome and also those who left the NPP are welcome. He said.
Till date we have disused only for assembly election and assessment and put forward for consideration. I appeal the people of Arunachal Pradesh to give an opportunity to the NPP candidates to serve the state in most better way even before.
NPP state President and former Minister Thangwang Wangham, working president and former MLA Paknga Bage, NPP Vice President Tapi Sorang, Sherge Thondok, general secretary Nabam Rungri, state secretary Tai Mama among other NPP leaders were present on the occasion.
Later several aspiring candidates, former Ministers, former MLA and others also discussed the political scenario of state and also with regard to providing of party tickets for the upcoming assembly election.
The meeting was held at Hotel Radisson Blue in Guwahati which lasted for several hours.
