Manoj Singh || ITANAGAR, MARCH 17 : Reportedly clash among two groups has been reported from Kalaktang and Thrizino-Buragoan assembly constituency of West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday late evening. The sources said.
As per information received from the sources, group clash has been reported from Kalaktang township and Tenga township of West Kameng district wherein several vehicles and other private and government property has been damaged. Sources also inform that police and security personnel have also been injured in the incident related with the upcoming assembly election in state to be held on April 19.
The election commission of India (ECI) has announced the simultaneous election for 60 assembly constituency and 2 parliamentary constituency in Arunachal Pradesh of which the announcement was made on March 16. The notification will be published in gazette on March 20. The date of nomination will be held on March 27, scrutiny of nomination on March 28 and last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 30. The election will be held on April 19 and result will be declared on May 2nd respectively.
As per information few security personnel’s including police officers injured and police vehicle damaged in the incident at Kalaktang. The West Kameng superintendent of police has also received injury in the reported clash by the two faction of the people who outraged after the BJP party ticket distribution of 5 Kalaktang assembly constituency.
Police sources inform that five cases has been registered as of now and three cases registered at Tenga Police station and two cases has been registered at Kalaktang police station.
The sources informed that the police are trying its best in identifying the accused involved in both violence cases at Tenga and Kalaktang police station areas. No one has been so far arrested as per information. However police sources said that after identification of the accused the legal action will be taken as deem fit.
So far the police is trying its best effort to maintain law and order under fully control. The police officers and security personnels are trying its best efforts by way of interacting with GBs, local leaders and others means in maintaining confidence building measures among the citizens.
