ITANAGAR, MARCH 20 : Hardly a few weeks remain to state goes to poll on April 19 several top leaders of state unit of Janata Dal United in Arunachal Pradesh has tendered the resignation showing a signal of collapse of JDU in the frontier State of country before the simultaneous poll in 2024.

In a media interaction on Wednesday afternoon at its party office at 6 Kilo, the state General Secretary Riba Pangia Dolo said that ‘ due to high-handed and non supportive nature of JDU National leadership we have not been allowed to field any candidates either in parliamentary election or assembly election in State and it is the main reason that our hard labour to make the party in State is defeated”. He said.

We were in party and working for last several years and it was the result that out of 15 candidates 7 candidates managed to win in 2019 assembly election and the JD(U) become the 2nd largest party MLAs in 60 members Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly. In long run they join the ruling BJP party and our high command could not do anything’s to stop such merger of JDU to the ruling party even we were part of the NDA alliance at centre. Such action were demoralize the morals of the party workers in state even we did continue to carry forward the party activities. Our party performed well in the local body poll and secure a good numbers seats in municipal and panchayat election. He said.

Inspite of providing support to the party functionaries we have to run the state office  of our own without any support of the central leadership. He observed.

An announcement was made by the party high command that the state president Ruhi Tagug would be the party nominees for the Arunahcal west parliamentary election but again after joining to the NDA by JDU the issue of contesting in parliamentary election was subside and it gives us a bid blow that after lots for hard works and homework the party could not recognized the state leadership and did not give heed to our dedication and sincerity toward the party for several years. He said.

We were not upset about any matters of them but not to let us filled candidates in the ensuing General Election 2024 has tarnish the hard earn image of the party in the state and this decision of high command has discourage all the State & District executive Members of the party. We have no option but to disassociate ourselves from the JD(U). added Riba Pangia Dolo

The whole team baring 1 or 2 state executive under my leadership[ is no longer associated with JDU and the State Office situated at 6th miles and therefore the the office of the JDU does not exist in the said premise anymore. Added Dolo.

The Executive Members such as Riba Pangia State General Secretary,  Deepu Nabam State Secretary,  Ashok Welly State Secretary, Kipa Talling State Yuva President and others gave the mass resignation from the party rest executive members has submitted through digitally and they have submitted the letter to high command too via digital, like wise 99% Members has tendered resignation is resulting in closer of the office. Riba Pangia Dolo further said.

We will sit together again and take further course of action in a day or two as the simultaneous election is underway.
