NAHARLAGUN, JUNE 23 ; A 5 year old body got drowned today morning in Pachin river from Pachin colony area of Naharlagun township of the capital complex. Informed Naharlagun SDPO Dekio Gumja.
It is a sad moment when we received the information of the drowning of a small boy in Pachin river at around 1200 hours and the incident is of around 9.30 from Pachin colony area. Though the body was spotted by the locals near Prem Nagar near lower sood village bridge in Naharlagun area. Till afternoon the body was unidentified and later in the evening the parents identified the child as Tarh Nachang.
After registering a UD case at Naharlagun police station vide case no-13/2021 u/s-174 CrPc and after conducting the legal formalities the body has been handed over to the parents for conducting last rite. SDPO said.
While raising serious concern the rise of drowning cases in Pachin an Pare river of the district, SDPO has appeal all section of society specially parents not to allow their childrens to go for bathing and other activities in the riverside during the time of monsoon the spate of the river at high and chances of such accidents are high.
