AALO, Feb 28 – Get ready for an exciting nature adventure as the West Siang District Administration teams up with ATREE-Siang to present the inaugural Aalo Bird Walk, titled “Feathers and Footsteps,” on March 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
This unique event has something for everyone, with educational talks on bird identification and conservation, along with a fun quiz. Join experienced birders and conservation scientists from ATREE on guided walks to explore the diverse bird species around Aalo.
The DC’s Office Conference Hall in Aalo will be the hub for pre-walk briefings, talks, the quiz, and the closing ceremony.
Ms. Mamu Hage, District Commissioner of West Siang and a passionate birder, expressed her excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to partner with ATREE-Siang for Aalo’s first Bird Walk. It’s a chance for residents and nature lovers to connect with our feathered friends, encourage youth, and support conservation.”
Dr. Rajkamal Goswami from ATREE-Siang emphasized, “You don’t need fancy gear or special skills to enjoy bird watching—just a love for nature and a sense of wonder.”
