ITANAGAR, Jun 1: The Executive members of All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) led by its president Dana Tadu on Tuesday distributed masks and sanitizers to labourers here at the forest corporation colony. Many labourers benefitted from the distribution.
Later briefing the press AAPLU President informed that masks and sanitizer distribution has been initiated by Arunachal Pradesh building & other construction welfare board (APB & OCWWB) Chairman Nyato Dukam.
“We are identifying the areas where the labour community resides and after that distribute these items to them. Even in the districts too, AAPLU district units are conducting such distribution programmes,” said Dana Tadu.
He also informed that soon distribution of ration items to the labour community will also be done. Further Tadu appealed to the rent owners not to charge rent for one month to students and members of the labour community.
“Daily wage labourers have not earned anything in the last one month due to lockdown.
Therefore, appeal to the house owners and owners of the flats and different category of houses in capital complex not to levy rent for the month of May which would be blessing to the occupants and tenants,” he said.
