ITANAGAR, SEPT 18 : The blood donation is one of the best donation and it can be donated by anyone to save someone life. Said Health & Family Minister Alo LIbang.
LIbang was speaking to media on his visit to RK Mission Hospital, Ganga on the occasion to take part in fruit distribution and inauguration of blood donation camp on the occasion of birth anniversary of PM Narendra Modi.
Libang said that there is no any other items which can substituted to blood so it is very costly and due to less blood bank in state it is difficult to get sufficient quantity in state. There is a requirement of around 15000 units of blood in state and as per availability through donation by various organisaiton and individual it could made available around 11000. There is a gap of around 4000 units of blood in state every years and it can be fulfilled if the awareness on blood donation is being made all over the state of it importance. He further appeal and urge upon the general masses to come forward for blood donation to save someone life. Said Minister Health
The mega Blood donation drive which was organised by Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad was also held at RKM hospital and blood donation was held at TRIHMS, Naharlagun and various parts of state on the occasion. Several social welfare activities been proposed including blood donation camps and other health awareness camp, medical camps, vaccination camp and vaccination awareness camp from 17 September till 2nd October to commemorate the PM’s birthday, informed Minister Libang.
The blood donation drive is being held at eleven hospital’s blood banks of the state, he added.
The blood banks of the state would be up-graded, for which the procurement process of equipment has been initiated, informed the minister.
On the other hand, the 138th BN CRPF, Arunachal Police and All Arunachal Pradesh Gorkha Welfare Society (AAPGWS) and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) organised a blood donation drive at 138 CRPF ground, Senki View, Itanagar and Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science at Naharlagun.
Lawmaker Honchun Ngndam, Tanpho Wangnow, Techi Kaso, Zingnu Namchoom, IMC Mayor Tame Phasang, BJP party leaders and karyakartas also accompany during the fruit distribution to the inpatients of the RKM Hospital.
