Capital administration started revivification of structure from Papunallah-Banderdewa National Highway-415, compensation to be disbursed soon


NAHARLAGUN, 13 Apr: The capital administration on Tuesday started re-verification of all the structures falling under package B (Papu Nallah to Nirjuli) and package C (Nirjuli to Banderdewa) of Itanagar to Banderdewa four lane road project on NH 415. A team of officials led by deputy commissioner Capital Complex Komkar Dulom including Executive Engineer Highway Nani That and others started re-verification from Papu Nallah onwards till Kankra nallah on 1st day..

Later talking to the press DC informed that assessment of compensation was done in 2016 itself. “We are only re-verifying so that fake beneficiaries should not get compensation and only genuine affected people get compensation. If everything goes as per the plan by the end of this month we will disburse compensation,” said DC. He also made it clear that structures falling under ROW will not be paid compensation. Further DC shared that administration will give time for self-demolition of the structures. “We will also provide funds for self-demolition. However, it will be paid only after proper verification,” he added.  

The executive engineer highway Nani That while briefing the media informed that maintenance of NH 415 from Papu Nallah to Nirjuli will start soon. “As part of maintenance carpeting will be done in phases and potholes will be filled up,” he said.

Further he said both the firms who have won tender bidding for package B and C have started the ground work.

“Package B from Papu Nallah to Nirjuli is 11.5 KM and cost is Rs 340 crore. It has been awarded to the joint venture of Shivam and Goodwill construction limited. Agreement was signed in January,” informed EE That.  

“Package C is 7.67 KM and project cost is 300 cr. Tender has been awarded to ARSS pvt limited,” said EE.

 After land acquisition is completed, the appointed date will be fixed and after that work will start added EE.

DC was accompanied with PWD Highway Naharlagun division Executive Engineer Nani Tath, Naharlagun EAC Likha Radh, DLRSO Yowa Nane, Circle officer of Naharlagun/Banderdewa and officers of capital district administration, Highway division, capital police were present on the occasion.

DC also interacted few land owners and assured them to take up their issue at an appropriate time.

Dulom and Tath further appealed to the denizens to cooperate with the highway administration and highway department in execution of a beautiful road from Naharlagun to Banderdewa.
