BANDERDEWA, JULY 22 ; The Papum Pare Zila parishad Chairperson (ZPC) Chukhu Bablu on Thursday has appeal the people of state specially the farmers community to remain in farming profession as the farming would always support the family and help in conserving the environment.
Bablu was addressing a few progressing farmer communities of Papum Pare and Lower Subansiri district at Green Gold integrated farm owned by Progressive Farmer Likha Maj at Tarajuli in Banderdewa circle. Bablu said that agriculture and horticulture is one of the important sectors by which the human beings are totally dependent and it also sustains the economy and supports the population for all types of food stuffs which are derived from agriculture and horticulture harvest. So it would be better if most people who are attached with farming either in the agri allied sector or horticulture sector to remain in the same field and earn for the family and also at the same time it always supports the environment which is badly affected due to global warming. He said.
The state has a vast potential for cultivation of all types of crops and the next generation have also to join the sector. Referring to several harvests like Kiwi and other products are being exported from Arunachal Pradesh and time will come that several other products will also send so we have to work hard and try to bring name and fame to our state and also earn for our hard labour. Bablu added.
The progressive farmer Likha Maj has shown a way for the Atma Nirbhar, self reliant and self sustainability and local for vocal and urge upon all the people to start a humble beginning to become self reliant and self sustainability and economic upliftment of the family and community. He also requested the progressive farmer not to miscue the plants and cultivate them properly so that they can get a good harvest.
Progressive farmer Likha Maj in his address said that since 2029 I have distributed around two lakhs of saplings free of cost to the progressive farmers and continuously carrying out the distribution to the needy. The saplings of Thailand lemon and Lalit Guava which are one of the best varieties which have high value in the market in the state and other parts of the country. I have earned a huge amount by selling in the streets of several cities in the country and the people have appreciated it. I have distributed a sufficient quantity of Lalit Guava and Thailand lemon to several hospitals of the capital complex including the Covid care centre, Covid hospital and other places and individuals as samples. He said.
The main motto of distributing to the progressive farmers is that they may cultivate them properly and no need to think for their marketing as I assured to buy back the fruit which will be utilized in the upcoming Mega food park. He also assured to extend technical support to the farmers in their field and also by technical experts. Maj said.
He also assured to provide another fifty thousand sapling of lalit guava and requested the ZPC and ZPM present on the occasion to select the list of farmers.
Ten thousand saplings of lalit guava were also distributed on the occasion which was done by ZPC in presence of Banderdewa ZPM BIri Tamin, members of the business community and others.
