City Roads in Ruin: NH-415 Damaged by Months of Rain, Commuters Demand Swift Repairs

ITANAGAR, OCT 03 : A major part of the stretch between Itanagar -Naharlagun (NH415) in package-A near 6 mile was damaged thereby causing huge traffic congestion for the commuters.. citizens appeal the highway authority and capital administration to deploy man and machine for its restoration and maintenance.

The similar damages have also been reported from several areas between 0 Point Tinali to Chandannagar and Chandannagar to Chimpu, Chimpu-Hollongi on four lane road causing  untold suffering to commuters and problem in free flow of traffic movement and also cause congesants in various parts of capital city including that of four land roads. such as 0 Point Tinali, D Sector, near RK Mission post office, H Sector, State BJP office, near DC capital office at Chandannagar, near SRPL colony, Gopur Tinali, near APP Battalion colony, Chimpu market area and near Saturday market and other parts.

Most of the portion of rods has been damaged during the rainy days and few of them due to incessant rainfall days but many portion of the damaged roads which were damaged several months back are yet to be repaired and it a matter of great concern of the capital dweller as every day to day activities  goes through these four lane rods as the main road of all activities are NH-415 in entire capital complex.

Informing that no other damages other than NH-415 has been reported till date, DC Talo Potom said officers of Package A, B & C have been directed  to do the clearance of road at the earliest. I have also informed the officers of Highway department of Package-A to immediately take care of the roads damaged near 6 Kilo and restore the  damaged caused due to incessant rainfall last nght. 

Visiting 6 mile areas of damages, he further said repairing of roads would be carried out as soon as possible for the convenience of commuters.

Appealing to people to bear with the department concern till the clearance of road is not done, he informed highway traffic has been already deployed to control the unnecessary congestion.
