TEZU, 15 May: Acute power crisis hit Tezu Township since yesterday due to cyclone hit hard the power scenario by uprooting trees and broken branches snapped the both HT & LT line in and around the town. “Main NH – 13 Highway road from medical to Dagrebaba point, uprooted trees have completely damaged the service line. The quantum of damage at Kanchi Charali, NH road to Telluliang and Tamlanagar villages bore the brunt of the cyclone. The trial of devastation is massive in this early monsoon; still both men and machinery have been pressed on war footing to restore the system. To meet up power crisis at Zonal Hospital and Covid Care Center at botanical garden are being managed by the DG set”, informs Hage Gumto EE Power.
Meanwhile, 132 KV line in between Pasighat – Roing will equally snapped transmission due to shifting of tower from 17th May due to threat of erosion. The Power Grid has deployed men and materials to create Emergency Restoration System (ERS) to build tower at safer place to avoid upcoming monsoon threat.
The Lohit Power Division informs that the affected districts will be managed from 33 KV Rupai Line till the restoration of 132 KV.
According to the Arunachal Pradesh State Load Dispatch Centre (APSLDC) of the power department, the first phase of the shutdown will be from 0800 hrs of 17 May to 1600 hrs of 18 May. This will be followed by the second phase shutdown from 0800 hrs of 20 May up to 1600 hrs of 21 May.
Similarly, the third phase of power shutdown will start from 0800 hrs of 23 May to 1600 hrs of 24 May.
With this eastern districts including Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Anjaw will suffered serious power crisis till 24 of this May, add the sources
