Itanagar, Jan 16: Today marks a sorrowful day as Tanyo Tasang Gamdik, the trailblazing Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Tagin community, has passed away.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed profound grief, commemorating Gamdik’s unwavering dedication and impactful contributions to the state. Khandu conveyed his condolences on social media, underscoring the enduring impact of the late bureaucrat.
Union Minister and Arunachal West MP Kiren Rijiju also mourned the loss, acknowledging Gamdik’s stellar career and contributions to the development of Arunachal Pradesh.
Rijiju extended heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family and the Tagin community, recognizing the void left by the departure of the first IAS officer from their community.
