ITANAGAR, Apr 21: The Chief minister Pema Khandu on Thursday sought a report on demands of clean water by Sol Dodum from PHE minister and concern department within 2 or 3 days.
Responding to the Arunachal News Live reporter’s queries during National Civil Service Day celebration here at DK convention hall, Khandu said, the minister and PHE & WS department has been directed to send a committee headed by chief engineer (CE) for on ground verification.
Accordingly, as per the report action would be initiated to provide clean & hygienic drinking water to the Seppa Township and also any other action suggested by the Chief Engineer will be taken therof, he added.
Speaking on the memorandum submitted to the CM office by Dodum, he said, the memorandum is yet to be looked up as he was preoccupied with Assam’s CM on Arunachal – Assam boundary issues.
“Though I have not gone through the demands, I already came to know about the ongoing issue through social media and accordingly a direction was issued,” said CM.
Dodum and his supporters have been demanding the state government to transfer the incumbent DC Seppa, to initiate a high level enquiry into the atrocities he had received on 12th April, to constitute Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case registered at Seppa PS case no.13/2022 against EE, PHE & WS, to put under suspension to the erring officer till the process of investigation is not completed and to post full fledge EE at Seppa PHE & WS division.
The Activist Sol Dodun is on dharna at Tennis court campus at IG Park after he made a foot march to press the charter of demand with the state government for providing of potable drinking water supply to the people of Seppa township in East Kane district.
