Khonsa, Dec 20: In a pivotal district-level coordination meeting held at the DC’s office conference Hall in Khonsa, the focus squarely rested on preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha and General Assembly Elections in Tirap district.
CEO Pawan Kumar Sain and Joint CEO Liken Koyu led the discussions, presenting plans for voting booths catering to service electors. Key points included maximizing available manpower, ensuring the mandatory engagement of all officers and officials, and addressing infrastructure challenges with a government commitment to quality facilities. The meeting also stressed strict actions against officers and officials with political affiliations.
At the helm of the meeting, DEO Tirap Hento Karga provided insights into the district’s status, highlighting resource and infrastructure needs. The comprehensive PowerPoint presentation covered human resources, election office infrastructure, security force shortages, and the imperative to repair and maintain buildings for a successful election process.
In attendance were Joint CEO Liken Koyu, SP Tirap Rahul Gupta, and various heads of departments, collectively contributing to a thorough review of the district’s preparedness. The meeting underscored essential aspects such as strong room security, provision of facilities at all Polling Stations, and strict adherence to election protocols.
