Khonsa, May 04: Khonsa MLA East Wanglam Sawin in presence of DC Tirap Taro Mize graced the SARKAR AAPKE DWAR MEGA CAMP and CULTURAL PROGRAM on the auspicious occasion of AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV celebration, 2022.
The formal program started with inauguration of Sarkar Aapke Dwar Camp, 2022 followed by a welcome song presented by Tirap Artist Forum, welcome address by Deputy Commissioner Tirap and speech from Chief Guest MLA Wanglam Sawin and a variety cultural program.
In his welcome speech Tirap Deputy Commissioner Taro Mize briefed about the celebration of AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV cum Sarkar Aapke Dwar in district headquarter, Khonsa, he stated that since last two years Sarkar Aapke Dwar at the grassroots level have been conducted successfully in remote area villages covered 51 camps in the district and provided various schemes to the beneficiaries. The DC appreciated Khonsa Battalion Assam Rifles for conducting an awareness programme on recruitment under Army and Assam Rifles and health awareness on cancer.
DC further suggested all the departments to deliver their best services in the interest of the public coming from different parts of the district. The DC further appreciated SBI Branch, Khonsa, District Legal Services Authority and all government departments for delivering their services at the Mega SAKD program conducted on the occasion of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration.
While addressing the mammoth gathering – Chief Guest & HMLA Khonsa East Wanglam Sawin lauded the District Administrative and HoDs for successful conducts of Sarkar Aapke Dwar at the doorsteps since last couple of year and here today at Nehru Stadium, Khonsa as a part of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. Sawin on behalf of all Tirap elected leaders assured the District Administration for all possible help to carry out Sarkar Aapke Dwar at the grassroots level in the days to come, he added that Sarkar Aapke Dwar is one of the most important program initiated by Pema Khandu led government to reach in outreach region to deliver doorstep services.
As reported by Nodal Officer(SAKD) Tirap – total 1989 beneficiaries benefitted with various schemes including issuing of certificates etc.
Meanwhile Sawin distributed fish seeds to the beneficiaries from the fisheries department.
A colorful cultural program presented by different tribes viz : Welcome song by Tirap Artists Forum, Nocte, Tutsa, Wancho, War Action dance performed by Kolam village and Testimony on Drugs addiction initiated by Care Me Home Drugs de-addiction cum Rehabilitation Centre, Charju.
The day-long program concluded with vote of thanks from Nodal Officer (SAKD), Tirap Pik Tayum in which he appreciated the Chief Guest cum MLA Wanglam Sawin for sparing his valuable time to grace the event as Chief guest.
