ITANAGAR, JUNE 19 ; In an unfortunate incident of road accident between Baisakhi and Sela top in Dirang circle of West Kameng district on Friday one person died on sport, another sustained grievous injury while other two escaped unhurt.
The police sources from West Kameng district inform that due to incessant rainfall in Baisaki area under Dirang Sub-division for last few days the transportation activities has also been affected due to bad weather and landslide and others reasons. A tragic accident took place on Friday at around 10.30 AM following a casualty of one person.
As per information a big shooting stone hit upon the Bolero car near the Quarry site of Patel Engineering killing one person on spot, injuring another while the vehicle they were traveling was completely damaged due to impact and force of the big stone coming from the hill slope.
The deceased has been identified as S. Ariyawalagan, an employee of Patel Engineering engaged in construction of Sela Tunnel Project. He was Deputy Manager(Civil) of Patel Engineering. The sources said.
The vehicle (Bolero) carrying four co-passengers met with an accident by shooting stones upon the Bolero car near the Quarry site of Patel Engineering. Out of 4(four) co-passengers, one reportedly died on the spot.
Another person seriously injured has been identified as Paltan Kumar has been evacuated to Guwahati for further treatment while two person
Driver Ranjit Basumatary and Pinaki Rai, Project Engineer, Mechanical escaped unhurt. The sources added.
