Lohit DA on high alert to contain outbreak, reported 13 COVID 19 positive cases

TEZU, 25 April: In the wake of sudden surge of COVID 19 second wave, Marge Sora DC Lohit has issued an order to immediately close down all education institution including government college, school, private and DIET etc. Coaching centers and hostels will be closed. The summer vacation of all the schools in the state is rescheduled from 26th April to 31st May 2021. All to prevent outbreak and spread of COVID 19, the District Administration strictly directed the business establishments to wear masks and avoid selling goods to those customers who failed to wear musk. Petrol Pump, Kerosene Depot, LPG, FCI should adhere to similar guidelines too, adds the DA.
Simultaneously, the District Administration has also rescheduled a fresh operating system of the market that will be opened at 8 AM and closed at 6 PM. However, pharmacies and Medical stores will operate as usual.
APMC market complex business time period fixed from 8 AM to 8 PM. however the same will be reviewed according to situations.   Weekly market at APMC market complex will be from 6 AM on every Sunday and Wednesday. All shopkeepers, vegetables sellers should wear masks and adhere to every guidelines, SOPs and instructions to contain COVID pandemic.
Any person violating these containment measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per provision of section 51 & 60 of the Disaster Management Act – 2005 besides legal action under section 188 IPC.
Meanwhile, the Lohit district reported 13 numbers of COVID 19 positive cases including 4 numbers from armed force and rest returnees, informs S Towang District Surveillance Officer Lohit.
