Major Developments Witnessed in 9 Years of Modi Govt and 7 Years of Khandu’s Leadership in Arunachal: BJP Nat’l Secy

Yazali, June 2: Significant progress has been witnessed over the past 9 years under the Modi government at the national level, as well as the 7-year tenure of Pema Khandu’s leadership in Arunachal Pradesh. These administrations have contributed to an improved quality of life in various aspects, such as connectivity, education, healthcare, and services. Rituraj Sinha, BJP National Secretary and Coordinator for the North East, expressed these sentiments during his two-day visit to the state’s Lower Subansiri district. Sinha attended a party meeting in Belo village, within the Pitapol and Ziro assembly constituencies.

Lauding the accomplishments of the Modi-led central government and the Pema-led state government, Sinha emphasized the significant infrastructure development that has made life more comfortable across all sectors. Both governments have implemented numerous public-oriented schemes, which have greatly benefited the rural and far-flung areas. These initiatives include the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Ujjwala Yojana (gas connection scheme), free ration distribution, educational programs, and various skill development initiatives aimed at empowering the youth for self-reliance and sustainability. In the healthcare sector, support for treatment of the needy in hospitals has been provided.

The state has also witnessed substantial progress in connectivity, with advancements in railway infrastructure, the construction of airports, and major road projects throughout different regions, including rural areas. The central government’s Vibrant Village program, launched from Arunachal Pradesh, will further enhance development in the border areas spanning over a thousand kilometers, which are shared with China.

The primary objective of the BJP is to foster comprehensive development, create employment opportunities, promote self-sustainability, and facilitate peace, progress, and prosperity. Simultaneously, the party urges its members to actively participate in national development and raise awareness about the numerous welfare schemes sponsored by the central and state governments for the betterment of the people and the region.

Addressing the media, Sinha clarified that the BJP is not anti-Christian and upholds the principles of inclusive development (shabka saath, shabka vikas). He appealed to the general public to support the BJP in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Taba Tedir, local MLA and Minister for Education and Cultural Affairs, highlighted several developmental projects in the state, including digital connectivity, road and air connectivity, as well as various schemes in his assembly constituency and across different districts. Tedir presented his report card for the last four years and sought public support, pledging to continue working towards the development of the area.

During the visit, Sinha interacted with beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes and held meetings with community-based organizations (CBOs).
