MLA Mutchu Mithi expressed sadness at the death of three people due to Covid from his district

ITANAGAR, 10 May: The Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi has expressed sadness over the death of 3 persons from Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) district from the Covid 19. The LDV which is in complete lockdown for the last 11 days has been hit hard by a second wave of Covid 19 infection. Talking to the press here on Monday, Mutchu said with efforts of district administration and citizens the number of cases is going down.

He also made an appeal to the people of state not to take Covid 19 lightly. “Unfortunately a section of people are still taking this virus lightly as they have not seen the death or serious cases in their immediate families. This is a dangerous virus and citizens need to remain alert,” said MLA Mutchu.

Further he urged authorities to strictly impose SOP. “At times authorities will have to come down hard on those violating SOPS to send out a strong message to violators. People should understand that this is not the time to party and get together,” added Mutchu.

The MLA urged the state government to concentrate on vaccinating the people of the state. He also appealed to the citizens as well as the state government to extend all possible support to the frontline workers.
