ITANAGAR, MAY 31 ; The newly constructed multistoried hitch building of Itanagar municipal corporation (IMC) to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Union Minister Earth science Kiren Rijiju with host of top leaders and officers of state here at Chimpu near KV-II in city on June 5th. Informed IMC Mayor Tame Phasang.
Speaking to media, the IMC Mayor inform that it would be a history that the IMC get its own building and it would be great asset for the people Itanagar capital complex and state as a whole.
All official activities has been shifted to its own and permanent building located in front of KV-II School in Chimpu and located at prime location on roadside of NH-415. So nay person having any work related with IMC in connection with garbage management, renewal of trading license, date of birth certificate, and other NOC and municipal activities are requested to visit directly to the its new address and not need ot go to other places as all other address are of no use.
it is also a happy moment that the IMC has made it possible and a permanent building come into being and completed in all respect, all the establishments of IMC has started functioning and including the office of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Said Phasang.
The Itanagar municipal corporation office was functioning in a rented apartment located on Tadar Tang Marg near Energy Park, Niti VIhar in Itanagar August 7 2020 and it was possible that the IMC have its own building only due to active support of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein. The building having accommodation for all officers and official and branches and establishment required for the public of Itanagar municipal area of state. It is a multi storied building having all facilities including the fires an emergency services. Control room functioning with regards to garbage management which monitor the garbage management of capital complex. He said.
Anyone having problem and want to pass own information regarding the garbage management may directly call the toll free no 101 form morning 5 AM to 9 only. Another facility like date of birth, marriage certificate, trading licence and all other facilities of NOC etc are made in the said office and officers and official are available and public can directly contact the office or visit the Kiosk canter located in Naharlagun at Ward no-17 without coming to office to avoid traffic and wastage of time to come to Itanagar. Another Kiosk centre are being established at Nirjuli and Banderdewa soon to help the pueblo of Nirjuli and Banderdewa who could not come to Itanagar and also contract the officials there to have all the facilities of IMC there itself. Said Mayor Phasang.
IMC has release fund of Rs. 8.59 lakhs for construction of parking lots in various parts of capital complex including near police check gate at Banderdewa, another parking at E Sector near hall at Naharlagun, the third one will be constructed in fornt of Annapurna hotel in Ganga market while the fourth one will be constructed near IMC office adjacent of KV-II school on NH-415 roadside which may resolve ht parking problems upto some extend. He said.
With regards to parking issue of visitors to IMC office the elevator is being constructed near IMC office, another place has been leveled in front of IMC office which will also be utilized as parking place. Parking for dozens of vehicle is available on ground floor and in front of office and I hope there may be no serious issue of parking for vehicles in future. He said.
The building having place to accommodate all the officers, branches and establishments. The top floor is having well furbished multipurpose conference hall where all types of programmers including business meeting will be organised and possible. He said.
The IMC has planned for enumeration of all houses in entire capital complex which may help the denizens to make house number in their address. The enumeration will not only hope the IMC but it will help the administration and government. At the same time the enumeration will also help in maintaining law and order. Added IMC Mayor Phasang.
The IMC has committed to work for the public of entire capital complex but public has to cooperate and support in segregation of garbage at source as solid waste management is underway and other infrastructure are also in progress. He said.
He further made a fervent appeal to he people of entire capital complex to help in maintaining the Itanagar capital complex a peaceful, clean and green and a beautiful place to live in.
The Mayor assured to construct lift in the building which would be complex with few weeks.
The Itanagar municipal corporation come into being in 2019 with 20 Wards while Tame Phasang was the 1 st mayor and Biri Basang was 1 st deputy mayor with term till December 25.
New campus I is of G+5, having almost all the facilities required for IMC including the office of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, IMC Commissioner, Asstiant Commissioner, veterinary wing, public utility services wing on 1 st floor which include death and birth certificate, marriage registration, trading license and all other types of certificate issued by municipality), law officer, administrative officer, revenue officers etc. Parking space at ground floor, most important is the multi specialty conference hall at top floor. Engineering wing on 2 nd floor which include office of Executive engineer I & II and five sub-divisions and establishments, 3 rd floor which have the office of IMC Commissioner and Asstiant commissioner, Account branch and their offices, The office of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Control room of IT and office and establishment of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, office of members of standing committee is on fourth floor while the fifth floor is having the multipurpose conference hall and office canteen. The building is having lift facility and it can us utilized by all the denizens.
All the emergency service facility line of fire fighting is available. It was in August 13 2013 when the office of IMC then Itanagar municipal council was inaugurated at the building of directorate of Art & Culture near Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Naharlagun with 30 wards and Higio Aruni as chief councilor and Kipa Babu as deputy chief councilor, later KIpa Kaku was chief councilor with Tarh Nachung as deputy chief councilor till 2018.
As per information the building has been constructed by MS RTT Enterprises with around 19 crore.
