PIPSORANG, November 13: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu made a historic proclamation today, declaring that the road connecting remote Pipsorang to Tali in the Kra Daadi district will be ready for use by Independence Day next year. The long-awaited development promises to bridge a crucial connectivity gap in the region.
During his inaugural high-profile visit to Pipsorang, undertaken by chopper alongside Union Minister for Earth Sciences Kiren Rijiju, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia, and Chambang legislator Balo Raja, Khandu commended local legislator Jikke Tako for his tireless efforts in advocating for the development of his remote constituency.
Khandu’s visit highlighted the progress made in Tali, which became accessible by an all-weather road earlier this year, thanks to the sincere efforts of Tako. The Chief Minister praised Tako’s initiative, ‘Back to Tali,’ encouraging those who had migrated to return, foreseeing a resurgence of the region with improved road connectivity and essential facilities.
Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khandu acknowledged the unprecedented development witnessed in Arunachal Pradesh since 2014. The chief minister inaugurated the upgraded Pipsorang SDO headquarters and allocated Rs 30 crores for the development of essential infrastructure, including the fast-tracking of 4G tower installations.
In a significant move towards comprehensive regional development, Khandu announced the creation of Paye circle with headquarters at Rikmun Riangjo and Nyorig circle with headquarters at Roing. Additionally, he formally launched the Piped Water Scheme under the Jaljeevan Mission at Lengoing Koleng (Pipsorang headquarters) and neighboring villages, ensuring access to clean water for the local communities.
