The Holiday Scout Concludes Two-Week Northeast Tour with Heartwarming Donation to Dhargyeling Old People’s Home

By Toko Young || TEZU, NOV 14: The Holiday Scout, a prominent travel agency based in Bomdila, West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, wrapped up their enriching two-week northeast tour today. The concluding act of generosity saw the agency donate essential items to the Dhargyeling Old People’s Home situated in Tezu’s Tibetan Settlement Camp, Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The touring party, which commenced the journey with Italian tourists exploring the Northeastern States on October 31 from Gauhati, expressed their commitment to spreading kindness by contributing essentials to the old age home. The donated items included milk, rice, horlicks, cooking oil, cereal, butter, tea, flour, cheese, winter clothes, as well as household necessities like harpic bottles, wipers, and toilet brushes.

Sange Tsering, CEO of The Holiday Scout, shared his perspective on the tour’s conclusion, stating, “Everything in life should have a purpose.” The agency, known for guiding tourists from around the world to explore India and showcasing the country’s rich culture, operates under the objective of creating ‘unforgettable’ journeys. They offer fixed tour packages in categories such as Adventure Tourism, Pilgrimage, Wildlife Discovery, and Environmental Tourism.

During their two-week exploration, the group visited notable destinations including Tawang, Dirang, Bomdila, Itanagar, Ziro, Namsai, and Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh, Majuli in Assam, and Mon in Nagaland.

The Dhargyeling Old People’s Home, established in 1984, currently provides shelter for 16 destitute elders from the settlement who have no place of accommodation and no means of support. The thoughtful donation from The Holiday Scout aims to make a positive impact on the lives of the residents and reflect the agency’s commitment to giving back to the communities they visit.
