PPPFA sought Kiren Rijiju intervention for providing of loan under NLM

ITANAGAR, JUNE 22 : The team of Papum Pare Poultry farms association (PPPFA) led by its President Tana Yayo and Vice President Debia Tara on Thursday meet Union Minister for earth science Kiren Rijiju and sought intervention of central government for providing of loan under national livestock mission (NLM).

PPPFA Vice President Debia Tara inform that “ we meet Union Minister Kiren Rijiju at Itanagar at morning and brief him on problems being faced by the beneficiaries in getting loan under the national livestock mission (NLM) due to which several beneficiaries has been facing several untold sufferings” we are not only wasting our precious time but our energy going to the assigned back by the department. Said Tara.

Apart of time and energy we have to wasting money in going to several pillars to post and precious time are being wasted in managing the papers and other documentary evidences and even after than our loan are not being approved. Said Tara.

We being beneficiaries have fulfilled all the required criteria’s to grab the opportunity of the central government. the opportunity is for the upliftment of the unemployment youths to grow in farming business and become aatma nirbhar, self reliant and self sufficiency. he said.

The nodal officer, state implementing agency (SIA), animal husbandary and dairy development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh has conducted all procedure and found correct and feasible as per NLM guidelines but the lending banks in state which include Indian Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, HDFC Bank, APRB, APCAB, Central bank of India are not taking initiatives despite direction given from the ministry to disburse the amount to the project. He said.

We write a representation to the Commissioner (Animal husbandry, veterinary and  Dairy development) in March 2023 and the commissioner has also written to the Regional Manager state bank of India (SBI) Itanagar for sanction, Later the commissioner has written to the Joint Secretary (NLM) for difficulties in implementation of EDP scheme under NLM. But inspite of all above the banks are making excuse like of market not viable, customers has not approach the banks, project not viable, no insurance coverage of the asset etc. it is nothing but harassing the innocent beneficiaries. The PPPFA added.
