ITANAGAR, JAN 16 : The road construction agency of Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) in Yachuli assembly constituency from Potin-Aniagate in Lower Subansir has rubbish allegation on timing of road closure led to accident of January 11.
Speaking to media, the road construction agency executing the road project from Potin-Ania gate in Yachuli (43 KM) Nabam Tullon LLP Proprietor Nabam Tullon has rubbish all allegation on the district administration for timing of road closure which has led to accident which takes place in Pitapool area wherein a car meet with accident and plunge into the reservoir of NEEPCO on January 11. One people has been missing which three people were either rescued or saved themselves, out of four two person were local lady while third person was staff of NEEPCO and they were on the NEEPCO reservoir area and road there during the accident. The road construction activities are going on in right bank of the river and reservoir and the accident which took place on January 11 happened in left bank and have no any connection with road construction and road closure. He said.
We never tried to give any trouble and problem to the commuters rather during any emergency we have always cooperated the administration and general people. Through the general public are very cooperated and during the work period no locals have created any hindrances the workers and machine. He said.
Due to delay in providing the land for bridge near Posa/Yazali it has been delayed however all the works of bridge construction and culverts are in full progress. Said Tullon.
Earlier a circular road as alternate route was permitted by Lower Subansiri district administration for traffic diversion and movement on September 15 2022 through PItapool to Potin Via NEEPCO Dam which was withdrawn in short time in a week after the local did not allow the traffic movement though there on September 23 2022 through official order which was known to everyone. He said.
The timing given by district administration has issued timing for traffic movement and due to timing allotted we could work in which two heavy machinery was damaged and one operator has lost his life he incident. The timing is from early morning 8 AM to 12.30, 2 PM to 5.30 PM and 7.30 PM to 4.30 AM morning is close to execute work and the road remain open on Sunday. He said.
With regards to work progress, Tullon inform that the total length of stretch form Potin-Ania gate is 44 Km and around 38 KM almost completed, signage and painting works are in full progress. Carpeting works right form Posa to Ania gate is completed.
Earlier the Arunachal Pradesh youth congress President Tarh Johny has express resentment over the rod closure and timing and demanded monitoring of all road project im state including the Trans Arunachal Highway.
While condoling the unfortunate loss of a life, the APYC President said that several agency including that of BRO, NHIDCL, PWD and other are executing the several road project across the state which need monitoring by the concern district administration. He said.
The persistent road blockade in the name of road construction for several months for work should be strictly monitored and maintained and the agency should carry forward the work smoothly and we are not against developmental work. The district administration is sole responsible for smooth implementation of the work in their respective area. He said.
The APYC in a recent meeting held at Itanagar has decided to constitute state and district level committee to monitor all such major project which are taken for proper implementation and completion. The APYC Tarh Johny added.
The District Administration should be held responsible if such project and public welfare schemes are not executed and implemented and completed properly and smoothly without creating problem to the locals and general people. He further said.
