Several districts of state to remain in dark for another day: inform officials

ITANAGAR, APRIL 05 ; Several central and eastern district of Arunachal Pradesh to remain in darkness for another day. informed Power Supriiendent Engineer (Transmission) T K Tara.

TK Tara inform that the last night cyclone which lash for more than 1 hour has damaged one transmission tower and line in Lower Subansiri district and due to which the power supply to the grid transmission down the line from Lower Subansiri to Lohit district has also been affected. He said.

NEEPCO-Ziro line is being maintained by the PGCIL, Ziro-Pasighat is being maintained by power deptt while Pasighat-Namsai is with Power grid corporation. He informed.

The last night cyclone has damaged two nos of cross arm of transmission tower by a huge banyan tree between Potin-Ziro which belongs to PGCL which has not not been ractifed and restored in the day and asked for additional shutdown for another one day ie, Tuesday April 6. so there would be no power transmission and accordingly no power supply to the area in the said feather line down stream districts below. So there would be no power supply in several district which include Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey, Kamle, Upper Subanaiari,.Leparada, East Siang, West Siang, Lower Siang,.Lower Dibang valley, Namsai and Lohot district. He said.

The district of Tirap, Changlang, and Longding are are getting from Kathalguri-Deomali transmission line. He said.

With regards to Papum Pare district, Tara said that there are lots of option which are being shorted out.
