JAIRAMPUR, AUGUST 12 ; The Jairampur-Nampong local MLA Laisam Simai has appealed to the villagers to protect the catchment area water source for perennial drinking water supply to village so that water supply to rural areas is not affected like in urban areas.
Simai was addressing the villagers of Kovin village and Tengmo village under Jairampur sub-division on the occasion of inauguration and dedication of Water Supply project to both Kovin village and Tengmo village.
The project has been executed by Jairampur PHED division funded under SADA and NRDWP which would benefit more than 80 houses and hundreds of families.
Earlier in the morning, Simai dedicated a DG set to CHC Jairampur to have 24×7 interrupted power supply in the hospital. Simai also detected the installation of 2 nos 250 KVA transformers of the new market area. The market area earlier has been facing the voltage problem. With the installation of two nos of transformer the population residing in new market area and adjoining areas at Jairampur will be benefited and low voltage problem is solved. Simai reported this daily.
Simai later inaugurated the Meditation Centre and Guest House at Taipong village.
