State’s renowned evangelist Dr Joram Dol passes away

NAHARLAGUN, Apr 11: Renowned evangelist of Arunachal Pradesh Dr Joram Dol passed away after a short illness at a hospital in Guwahati on Monday.

As per reports, the 46-year-old evangelist of the Christian community died due to organ failure.

According to reports, Dr Dol recently returned from Kiwanga-Namanve in South Africa after attending a revival conference and contracted dengue and was later admitted in ICU as his health deteriorated.

Dol, also a well-known international preacher, was the president of Apostolos Bible College & Missionary under the Revival Church Council, Arunachal Pradesh.

Several leaders, community associations from across political and religious backgrounds have sent condolence messages at the demise of Dr Joram Dol.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters and a son.

“The sudden demise of Late Dr. Joran Dol has left a deep vacuum with the  Christian community in  particular which  cannot be filled easily,” said a condolence message from the Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF).

In the message ACF said it is shocked & saddened and said the Arunachal Christian Forum ( ACF) on behalf of Christian  community, Arunachal  Pradesh expresses heartfelt condolences with deep sorrow & sympathy at the sudden demise of Dr. Joram Dol.

An evangelist and a well-known International preacher, Dr. Dol was a young energetic person who has served the society with humility & served as a servant of God, always believing in the saying, “Service to Man is Service to god”.

While expressing deep sorrow over the loss of one of the heroes of faith, ACF in the message offered prayers for the family members and departed soul.

“I am deeply saddened to learn about the sudden and untimely demise of Dr.Joram Dol, who breathed his last today,” said Itanagar MLA Techhi Kaso in his condolence message.

In his condolence message, MLA Kaso said, “Late Joram Dol was a kind hearted and soft-spoken person. He had served the society as a servant of God and his premature demise is a great loss and irreparable for his family members as well as for the society & Christian community.”

Kaso along with his family extended heartfelt condolence to his bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty God to comfort and give strength to over­come the phase of grief.

Meanwhile, Sagalee MLA and former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki also expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Dr. Joram Dol.

Joram Dol was of a very soft nature, kind hearted and a loving person. His premature demise is a great loss and irreparable for his family members as well as for the society & Christian Community, Tuki said in a condolence message.

“I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members & loved ones and pray to Almighty God to give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss caused to them,” Tuki added.
