ITANAGAR, MAY 10 : The Itanagar Capital complex Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom on Tuesday has issued a traffic advisory in view of the dismantling of four nos of foot-over bridge located in Naharlaugn township on NH-415 from May 10 onwards.
Speaking to the media, DC Talo Potom said that we are trying our best effort in clearing the right of way and obstruction on the NH-415 in view of construction of a four lane road on Package-B from Papunallah to NIrjuli. As per road alignment the four nos of foot over bridge is one of the obstructions which need to be dismantled and for the dismantling process the tender and other formalities has been one by the Highway department. The works will be executed by a contractor of the highway department. He said.
Since the highway department, EE Naharlagun division, Nirjuli has written to for traffic regulation during the dismantling, As the dismantling works could not be possible during the day time and office hours so it would be better to carry out the works in night hours. He said.
Necessary direction has been given to the capitol police to make traffic diversion as per plan. Necessary display boards and police personnel will be at the spot to help the commuters in diverting the traffic, the commuters are also requested to follow the advisory and help the contractor in dismantling the bridge immediately.
As per road plan the flyover bridge will be there right from Papunallah to Model village passing through the Naharlagun township on the NH-415 in package B so the footover bridge will be dismantled. The commuters are requested to take the Papunallah-Yupia-Doimukh-Nirjuli as a route to avoid any inconveniences. He said.
However the local commuters can follow the local route through D Sector, Polo Colony, G Extension, TRIHMS and Prem nagar route, Chandani Hotel point, E Sector etc as per traffic advisory given to the police and the site incharge and the administrative officer and highway authority has already been passed on. He said.
The contractor has been directed to take all precautionary measures so that no public and private property should be damaged during the dismantling process and personnels are deputed for the purpose. DC Capital Talo Potom added.
