Arunachal Pradesh police paid tribute to martyrs on Police commemoration day

BANDERDEWA, Oct 21:The Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) on Saturday paid tribute to its martyr on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day here at Police Training Centre (PTC) and book of martyrs who laid down their lives on line of duty were read out and remembered on the occasion.

All rank of APP paid tribute to those police personnel who sacrifice their lives on the line of duty across the country. The floral tribute were led by DGP.

Speaking to media,  The Inspector General Law & Order, Chukhu Apa said that  we have lost our constable Wangyam Bosai and Chingri Mamai 1st Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) who was martyred in Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts. Today all those who laid down their lived on the line of duty at their respective service place were remembered and we paid tribute. We also pray for their eternal pace. We also praise the brave parents who made these martyrs to join the state police and did their supreme sacrifice and we are proud for them who serve the motherland. Said IGP Apa.

Apa said that sacrifices made by the duo would always soften in the  police personnel’s hearts, who laid down their lives on duty. He was killed by two NSCN operatives during the sensational jailbreak incident at Khonsa in Tirap district, 

Every year, the country observes the commemoration day to mark the police personnel who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and the state, he said the day has been observed to remember the sacrifice of policemen and security specially the CRPF who were surrounded by Chinese army and open fired upon them in 1959. Director General of Police (DGP) Anand Mohan read out the names of police personnel.
