Body of the late Amak Dolo retrieved from Pare river

ITANAGAR, JULY 18: The body of the lady passenger who was accompanied in the ill fated Mahindra Scorpio vehicle which met with an accident near Balapu village on July 14 has been retrieved on Sunday afternoon. Informed Doimukh SDPO Bomken Basar.

Basar said that today at around 3 pm, Tao Topu , S/o Tao Nick, Village Mipsoro, Sagalee informed Sagalee police  that one dead body was seen floating in Pare river. Accordingly, police informed relatives of the late Amak Dolo. Police and relatives reached the spot along with the doctor and magistrate. Semi decomposed dead body of late Amak Dolo was recovered. The Inquiry was  conducted on the spot by the magistrate(CO Toru circle). PME was conducted by doctors of PHC Toru on the spot and then the dead body was handed over to the parents for performing last rites. SDPO said.

It is to mention that two persons traveling in a silver colour Mahindra Scorpio bearing registration No- AR 05 / 5009 met with a fatal accident and fell down into river Pare near Balapu village in Sagalee subdivision on Wednesday morning. The Scorpio vehicle was coming from Seppa towards Itanagar which was driven by one Bishop Nampe, 29 yrs, S/O Sania Nampe of village Nampe, PO/PS Khenewa/Chayang Tajo and one lady named Amak Dolo, 29 yrs, D/O  Kiran Dolo of village Bodo PO/PS Sawa/ Chayang Tajo District East Kameng were traveling as co passenger in the said ill fated vehicle.  .

The driver of the vehicle got grievous injuries and evacuated to CHC Sagalee who later was referred to TRIHMS, Naharlagun for further treatment. But a Scorpio vehicle with lady Amak Dolo was missing and the search operation has continued since then.

Due to intensive search operation carried out by all stakeholders including the locals, family member relatives and officials from NDRF, police and others the Scorpio vehicle was spotted and retrieved from river Pare on 3rd day on July 16.

At last the body of the lady was spotted near Village Mipsoro in Toru circle by the locals and has been retrieved. Informed Sagalee Police station officer SI Joram Takap. The Sagalee police have lifted the Scorpio vehicle to the police station for further investigation. He said.

A case has been registered at Sagalee Police station wide Sagalee PS case N0 15/2021 u/s-279, 337. SI Takap added.
