Late Mekup Dolo laid to rest with full honour

ITANAGAR, JULY 18 ; The former Minister Late Mekup Dolo who passed away on Saturday afternoon has been laid to rest with full honour at Goloso village of Seijosa circle of Pakke Kessang on Sunday amid presence of eminent personalities, family members, relatives and well-wishers.

Chayangtajo MLA Hayang Mangfi and Seppa MLA Tapouk Taku among other eminent personalities which include social workers, public leaders etc attended the last journey of Late Dolo on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Minister Environment & Forest and WRD Mama Natung in a condolence message said that “ I am very shocked and sad to hear about the untimely demise of your beloved Lt Smti Mekup Dolo; Former Minister. I sincerely extend prayers for the departed soul and express my deepest condolence to the family”. ‘May her soul rest in peace’. Natung added.

The Pangia Welfare Society extended its deep condolences and sorrowfulness and grief for the sudden demise of beloved Mekup Dolo and termed her as a pious lady, progressive farmer, social worker and a lawmaker, on the top of that she was also a good housewife. The NGO said.

May the almighty god shower strength to the bereaved family members and pray for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace in heavenly abode. The Pangia welfare society added.

Condolences have been purred in from several corners of society and state. Union Minister of Law & Justice Kiren Rijiju has also extended condolences on the demise of Late Mukup Dolo, in a social media post Rijiju said that “ I am deeply saddened to hear the sad demise of former Minister Mekup Dolo, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister Kameng Dolo”. “ I extend my heartfelt and sincere condolences and pray to god for giving strength to the family and friends to bear the huge loss, may her soul rest in peace”. Rijiju added.
