BOMDILA, Hundreds of people belonging from the Buddhist community today carried out a candle march and protest rally against the act of burning of the Gonpa at Riwotala in Tuting sub-division of Upper Siang district recently.
The candle march was organised by Buddhist Society from Buddha Park via Bazaar line, Bomdila and lastly culminated at Buddha Park.
Bomdila Buddhist Society President Ledo Thungon, President has raised serious concern and showed his protest against those miscreants who had demolished Riwotala gonpa in Tuting sub-division of upper Siang District. He said.
He condemned the such incidents, he appealed to the District Administration of Upper Siang District, Government of Arunachal Pradesh that stringent action should be taken against those miscreants and booked under appropriate section of IPC.
Dorjee Tsering, Advisor, Bomdila Buddhist Society and Abbot of Gontse Rabgey Ling Monastery also spoke against the barbaric act of those miscreants who demolished the said place which is a sacred place and visited by all types of people. .
