16 students of VKV school were injured when the bus carrying met with an accident at Chimpu

ITANAGAR, Sixteen school students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Chimpu got injured when the bus carrying the students toward school meet with an accident at around 7.30 morning at Chimpu while negotiating the turning from the NH-415 (four lane road) toward the WRD colony. 

Capital SP Jimmy Chiram inform that the accident occurred at around 7.30 morning when the bus bearing registration no AS 12Y 1050     

It may have happened due to a sudden brake applied. Someone is saying that the accident occurred due to brake failure but it is a matter of investigation. The accident happened when the vehicle was turning toward the WRD colony. He said.

As per information the bus did not fall down and capsized and skidded off; fortunately 16 school children were injured. The injured children were immediately rescued and taken to hospital for immediate treatment. The local people, members of the school and parents, and the police have coordinated and supported. He said.

The bus was carrying around 60 children who were going to school which was located in the WRD colony at Chimpu. SP said.

A case has been registered at Chimpu police station vide case no-30/21 u/s-279/338 of accident section and the driver has been arrested. SP added.
