PONGCHAU, The Minister for RWD etc and local MLA of Pongchau-Wakka has directed the RWD officials to start with the work on Mingong-Khasa road on war footing and directed the Deputy commissioner accompanied to stop the plying of vehicle on the said road to pace way for smooth construction.
The Minister alongwith DC, officers of RWD and other departments of the district on Wednesday visited the road which was earlier taken up for completion under Nanotechnology which was not at all successful.
Speaking to newsperson, Minister said before assuming the charge of department of RWD the department has taken up few roads of state to be constructed under Nano technology on experiment basis, there may be reason due to which the technology could not last in our state and reason may be the weather condition and soil suitability and availability of construction materials at the site etc. “ I would say that our engineers were trained properly but the technology could not work properly whatever the reason may be, two big roads one at Kanubari assembly constituency and another in my assembly constituency and due to which the road continued in bad shape for years together. But since the matter was taken up and now we are taking up the construction of the work on a congenital basis. He said.
Direction has been issued to RWD officers to start with the work completion on war footing so that the people living in the area could avail the facility. Direction has also been issued to the DC to issue necessary direction so that the vehicular movement on the said stretch do not play and the work doesn’t get any hindrance. The minister added.
The minting-Khasa road measuring 30 KM was earlier taken up by the RWD department under the PMGSY scheme in 2017-18 under the Longding division. The convention method was taken up after the inspection of the State quality coordinator (SQC) and Deputy Commissioner.
