Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched Myatong Singpho sticky rice.

PASIGHAT, JAN 6 : The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched Myatong Singpho sticky rice and appeal locals to vocal for locals products for pubic consumption.

The union minister on Friday morning has launched the “ Myatong Singpho sticky rice” at a simple function held here at Government college of horticulture and forestay in presence of Arunachal East member of parliament Tapir Gao, Arunachal Pradesh agriculture allied department minister Tage Taki, Pasighat MLA Kaling Moyong, East Siang DC Tayi Taggu, other senior officer and offers and officials of Horticulture and forestay college.  

Tomar said that since the organic cultivation is being encouraged by the government of India for a good health. Out of 100% production of organic production 90% are form North East region and is a good sign. So production of such local and promoting vocal for local products is good and lauded N Singpho of Bordunsa, Changlang district for his imitative and said theta it would encourage and motivate others in the row. Added Tomar.

The Agriculture and allied Minister Tage Taki inform that it is good to see that N Singpho is engaged in rice cultivation apart of other cultivation. Today 1 KG packet has been launched by union minister and I requested him to go for 5 KG and 10 KG packing respectively so that the consumers and locals can consume and also impress upon the local population for go for such more cultivation in other parts of district and state as a whole. Said Taki.

The agriculture department of state and centre is ready to help the farmers community. Taki also assured to help and support the farmers community for improving farming sector.

N Singpho, a farmer from Bordumsa in Changlang district in his interaction has informed that initially two hector has been under cultivation for the said rice and packing for 1 Kg has been lunched today and it is a beginning and long to go. I will try to impress upon the locals but need support and help form the government so that many can come forward and cultivate and promote the slogan “ vocal for local”. 

It is to mention that the Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was on two days visit to state to  inaugurated the administrative and academic buildings and hostels of the government Agriculture College at Pasighat and to attend the conclusion function of two-day Kisan Mela organized in the college premises.
