ANSU served 7 days ultimatum to CK Mnpong and Tarh Tahar to tender apology

ITANAGAR, Sep 08: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) on Thursday served a 7 days ultimatum to Chow Kahtiya Manpoong of (Namsai) and ex-president Aruanchal Against Corruption (AAC) Tarh Tahar to issue apology for using derogatory remarks against the Nyishi community.

Talking to a media person here at APC, president ANSU Nabam Dodum, said that ANSU would not tolerate any derogatory words against the Nyishi community which was made by Manpoong on 1 September last by calling Nyishi as a ‘Dafla’.

The Use of word ‘Dafla’ by Manpoong which was re-amendment in the constitution of India in 2008, has hurt the sentiment of the entire Nyishi community, said Dodum. Adding that the former has to give an apology along with explanation of the existence of the word ‘Dafla’ to ANSU and Nyishi Elite Society (NES).

“With devoid of knowledge, he should have not made such derogatory words,” Dodum.

In the meantime, ANSU also asked Tarh Tahar to tender a written apology for dragging ANSU’s name in his audio clip alleging that ANSU was negotiating with the issues but the public never asked for their accountability.

If the duo fails to comply as needed by ANSU within frame time then they would initiate their own course of action against Manpoong and Tarh, cautioned ANSU.
