ITANAGAR, Sep 21: To determine any weak links in the system, the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) have constituted two ‘Internal Audit Committee’ to study the whole process of question paper leakage fiasco of prelim and mains AE (Civil) examinations and strong action will be initiated against any officials.
Briefing the media person at the commission’s office, APPSC board member Jarken Gamlin said that to ensure corrective measures to prevent recurrence of the same mistake in future, two internal audit committee would not leave no stone unturned. The committee will go through every aspect including of reformation side and departmental proceeding and action against the officers and official if anyone find against all allege accused including the present Deputy secretary who has been arrested by the capital police. He said.
The commission will take up the case with the government of state for the immediate posting of an appropriate replacement against accused Deputy secretary Taket Jerang, he added.
Stating that prolonged stay in the office of the commission could be detrimental in the long run, Gamlin informed that in consultation with the state government a review meeting for the posting and tenure of the officer in the commission would be initiated.
Responding to the queries asked by the media person, is the Jerang was assigned as a controller of all the examinations, Gamlin said, “Accused Jerang was not assigned for the particular exam rather in his own individual capacity had committed the offence,” adding that apparently there is no other person of the commission involved in the leakage.
The commission has also debarred accused Thomas Gaduk (candidate) from all examinations being conducted by the commission till the finalisation of the case by the court, informed Gamlin.
Both the AE (Civil) result of both RT and Mains have been cancelled, fresh date for the re-examination will be intimated in due course of time. Written examination for lady medical officer, veterinary officer, Asstiant conservator of forest, PGT and dairy development have been deferred till further order. The APPSC added.
