APPSCB team leaves for Chandigarh to take part in 15th All India Police Badminton C’ship

ITANAGAR, Feb 15: A 10-member team of Arunachal Pradesh Police Sports Control Board (APPSCB) has left for Chandigarh today to take part in the 15th All India Police Badminton Championship to be held there from February 20 to 26 next.

The APPSCB team includes five gazetted officers (GOs) and five non- gazetted officers (NGOs) and personnel of APP, who will take part in several events including GOs Open – men’s singles and men’s doubles, GOs 50+ – men’s singles and doubles, NGOs 45+ – men’s singles and doubles, and Open (all ranks) – men’s singles and doubles.

The 10-member APPSCB team, led by Dr Irak Bagra (SP) as manager cum player and Monya Riba – ASI (T) as coach cum player, also includes Dekio Gumia (ASP), Paul Jerang (Dy SP), Kalom Pait (Dy SP), Nyumyom Sora, Bamep Khamblai (HC), Raju Pudur (Ct) and Tadu Maying (Ct).

Meanwhile, DGP in-charge cum president of APPSCB Chukhu Apa and vice president cum IGP (A) Apur Bitin have extended their best wishes to the Chandigarh-bound team and exuded hope they would bring more laurels to the State.
