Assam Rifles Organizes Motivational Lecture to Promote International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

In an effort to combat drug abuse and illicit trafficking, Assam Rifles organized a motivational lecture at the Government Higher Senior Secondary School in Manmao, marking the occasion of the “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on June 26, 2023.

The lecture aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of alcohol consumption and drug abuse, while also highlighting the negative consequences of illicit drug trafficking. The organizers intended to inspire the youth to avoid the detrimental path of substance abuse through an interactive session that engaged them in meaningful discussions on the subject.

Attended by a total of 60 students, the lecture delved into various aspects of drug abuse and trafficking, shedding light on its causes and its impact on individuals and society. Notably, the teaching staff of the school not only participated in the event but also applauded the efforts of Assam Rifles to spread awareness about this significant issue.

The motivational lecture served as a reminder of the pressing need to address drug abuse and illicit trafficking, emphasizing the role that education and awareness play in combating these problems. By engaging directly with the students, Assam Rifles demonstrated its commitment to fostering a drug-free and safer environment for the youth in the region.

Such initiatives hold great importance in ensuring that future generations are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to resist the temptation of substance abuse, ultimately leading to healthier and more prosperous communities.

As the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking continues, Assam Rifles remains dedicated to raising awareness and collaborating with educational institutions to create a drug-free society where individuals can thrive and contribute positively to the nation.
