Chief Minister Pema Khandu rubbish allegation of corruption against him, termed it as politically motivated

ITANAGAR, Feb 02: In a recent development, chief minister Pema Khandu on Friday denied the corruption allegations for awarding of public contracts works to his family members in the state and issue to notices to respondents as a politically motivated and fake allegation. 

Replying to query with media at the sideline of inaugural function of Arch bridge near Helipad in Naharlagun, the Chief Minister Pema Khandu rubbish all the allegation of corruption leveled against him as politically motivated agenda, he claimed.

The allegation has no iota of truth and has no substantial in it, he said, adding the case has been going on since 2010 at Supreme Court (SC), it was in Guwahati High court. however despite trying to expedite the process of trial at court from the family’s end, it could not as many other cases are pending at the SC.

“Now, the case is now open and taking place in a fast track manner,” said Khandu.

Earlier,  SC after hearing issued notice on January 29, and directions to governed for CBI or SIT probe into the alleged irregular allotment of public contracts to the companies owned by relatives of the CM.
