NAHARLAGUN, JAN 8 : The central Nyokum committee will always work for promotion of traditional value and deep rooted culture of Nyishi and the most important is the Nyokum festival. Informed Central Nyokum committee (CNC) Chairman Tadar Mangku.
Mangku said that time has come for all of us to work with united effort without criticizing and condemning others as our younger generation are going away from the rich cultural heritage and traditional value and ethos of the society. it should be our endeavor that Nyishi are known with Nyokum and we celebrate Nyokum Yullo which represent Nyishi the Nyokum festivity need to be promoted irrespective of clan cast and religion. He observed.
Nyokum festival is being celebrated for decades and we are celebrating the golden jubilee celebration at various places with lots of happiness and joy and festivity mood to promote Nyishi and our tradition and culture. We will continue to do. He said.
He appeal all to use local and traditional items during all local festivals and display it which will focus and promote to world over. Youths need to remain touch with our tradition items, read with literature and also speak and maintain culture for identity of Nyishi which is one of the biggest tribe of state.
