CWS condole the demise of Lt. Mekum Tok and demanded strong punishment to the accused

ITANAGAR, MARCH 5 : The Camdir welfare society on Sunday has condole the untimely demise of Lt. Mekum Tok W/O Changriang Tok of village-Pakro, Pakke Kessang who breathed her last today at Dibrugarh after she was hit by vehicle in Leporaing on March 1st in Sagalee sub-division. 

The camdir welfare society (CWS) in a press release inform that the road accident which took place in between two wheeler and a Bolero pickup on March 1 in Leporiang circle of Sagalee sub-division of Papum Pare district on her way to Pakkessang on two wheeler. She was a pillion rider and the two wheeler was driven by one Tok Uttu. The Bolero Pickup was driven by Hasmut Ali 35 yrs of Bihpuria Dist, Assam, Hit the scooty by over speeding, this man found to be drunk during the time of accident who was arrested by Sagalee police. The press release said.

Tok Uttu and Lt. Mekum Tok were rushed to Sagalee CHC and later referred to Dibrugarh Hospital, Assam for further treatment wherein the pillion driver  Mekum Tok Succumbed to her internal injury. She belongs to Camdir clan and the camdir welfare society condole the untimely demise and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul in heavenly abode. At the same time the NGO demanded exemplary punishment to the accuse arrested in the incident. Said CWS. 

Her Mortal remain was received by the family relative and Camdir Clan and the last rituals shall be performed on Monday at Pakro village Pakke. The press release said.

The two wheeler rider  Tok Uttu is under critical condition being supervised under ICU in Dibrugarh Hospital and the NGO pray for early recovery. The press release added.

The CWS has further appeal the law enforcing authority of Papum Pare district to initiate appropriate legal sections/actions to deliver the Justice to the victims and its family.
