HOLLONGI, Papum Pare police recovered an unidentified woman dead body, aged about 20 years, laying in a nallah near Hollongi PHC area on Thursday.
According to Dr Neelam Nega, SP Papum Pare the semi decomposed body seems to have been lying at the place for more than a week and has started decomposing.
The body has been kept at RKM hospital mortuary, added Dr Nega. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Balijan police station and investigation is going on.
Dr Nega has appealed to the people to help the police with any information regarding the identity of the body and accordingly any one can contact Hollongi outpost for further information and identification.
If the body is not identified during next 72 hours the body was disposed as per law. Message has been flash all near by police station of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and local has also requested to help in identification, he said.
