Khonsa 31st July, 2023 : A District Level Coordination meeting of ZPMs, GPCs, Member Secretaries of Gram Panchayats, all HoDs & BDOs in connection with the campaign “MEERI MAATI – MERA DESH” was held at District secretariat conference hall, DC’s office, Khonsa under the chairmanship of Hento Karga, Deputy Commissioner, Tirap district, Khonsa today.
While welcoming the house present- Chairman cum DC Tirap brief about the launch of the Campaign “ Meri Maati Mera Desh” which has been launch by Govt. of India to Commemorate the concluding ceremony of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to venerate the “Veers”. It envisages paying Tribute to the ‘Veers” who have made supreme Sacrifice for the country by collecting Mitti/Soil from Panchayats across the Country and bringing the same to New Delhi ( Kartavya Path) to create Azadika Mahotsav (AKAM) memorials and an “Amrit Vatika” as a lasting tribute and Legacy of this Commemorative activity.
After threadbare discussions and participation of Panchayat leaders & HoDs the following Points and programmes was finalised for celebration of “Meri Matti Mera Desh” Campaign in respect of Tirap District.
1. The Campaign shall be launched in Tirap District on 09/08/2023 at Amrit Sarovar Site of Khela Village under Khonsa CD Block at 0930 hrs onwards. All the Hods, ZPMs, GPCs and Public leaders shall be present during the launch. An “Amrit Vatika” shall be developed at that site.
2.The saplings for developing Amrit Vatika at Sarovar site/School/Anganwadi Centres at Gram Panchayat level shall be provided by the District Forest Department.
3. The campaigned shall be carried out by all the GPCs at the village level in coordination with all GBs,GPMs villagers and Gram Panchayat Member Secretaries. Each village under the leaderships of GPCs shall Erect Epitome plague and develop “ Amrit Vatika” at the Sarovar site. They shall complete this campaign by 15th Aug /2023. They shall also take pledge and upload selfies,
- The GPCs shall bring a “Kalas” of Soil/Mitti collected from their concerned villages to the Block office w.e.f. 16th to 20th Aug/2023. The BDOs shall collect the “Kalas” from each GP Constituencies and develop a Amrit Vatika at selected “ Amrit Sarovar/School/Anganwadi Centre at Block level.
5.The BDOs in coordination with ZPC/ZPMs & GPCs shall nominate one representative from each Block to represent their Block/District at the state level/National level as per the date scheduled by Govt.
It was also resolved that 2 ( two) representatives shall be Women from Bari –Basip and Namsang Block and rest 3 (three) shall be male.
The Meeting concluded with vote of thanks from the Chairman cum DC Tirap Hento Karga with a request to all concerned to give their best to make the campaign successful.
