First flight of Indigo left for national capital New Delhi with full passenger, Aviation sector in state is upgraded and expanded- Nakap Nalo

HOLLONGI, OCT 2 : The Indigo airlines full of passenger has takeoff from Donyi-Polo airport, Hollongi toady on the occasion of  Gandhi Jayanti which is a special day of and occasion for the people of state and country. 

As of now there are four airlines are operating form Donyi polo airport to various destination including Dibrugarh, Ziro, Pasighat, Guwahati, Kolkatta, Mumbai and finally the National capital New Delhi has got connected and from today onwards the New Delhi will no more far as ever we were saying and now we will say that ‘ Delhi dur nahi hai”. Said Minister of Civil aviation, Tourism and land management Nakap Nalo.

 The new light connecting the national capital with the Arunahcal Pradesh state capital Itanagar is a great achievement and a happy moment for the people of state and region and within few hours we will directly reached to New Delhi for several important works like of attending hospital for emergency patient, students to reached varies educational institution and officials works of officers and meeting and other important works of leaders and general public.  These all are possible due to active support of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi toward act east policy  and under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu. I congratulate the people of state for the new flight directly to New Delhi. Said Minister Nalo.

We have a small ceremony at airport here at Hollongi and it was attended by several eminently personality of state including thee IMC Mayor Tame Phassang, IMC Corporaters, MP Rajya Sabha Nabam Rebia, Civil aviation secretary Swapnil Naik and others. it was really a happy moment and we have been able to interacted few of passengers and the happiness seen in the face are quite appreciating. He said.

Two flights are already been operational form Donyi polo airport one to Kolkatta and another to Mumbai from November 28 2022. The today direct flight timing is 12.30 from Hollongi which may change form next change of schedule of the airlines. The flight will be operated four days a week which include Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. He said.

The direct flight will enhance the connectivity between two parts of country and will boost up the tourism industry, local economy in state and employment opportunities for the people of state. He said.

We are emphasizing and has placed the requested to start the service toward south and most probably Bangluru may be connected but we have to wait for some more time as the issue has to finalized by the airlines company. Said Civil aviation Secretary Swapnil Naik 

The foundation stone for this Greenfield airport was laid in 2019 while IndiGo had conducted a successful test landing at DPA on 18.10.22. The airport, formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 19.11.22, since the flight services began form Hollongi the footfall has drastically increased and in last week it cross one lakhs passenger with Total flight movement till 30th September 2023 is Arrival: 708, Departure:708 Passenger Arrival: 51115 Passenger Departure: 50439. He said.

Since the flight services are in tune with Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN, let the common citizens of the country fly) so it is hopeful that the fare may be restricted to a calling so that every citizen of country can avail flight in case of need. He said.

The media fraternity has interacted several arrival passengers and departure passengers at the airport terminal and see the happiness for beginning of direct flight for national capital Ne Delhi form Itanagar which will cut short the time and problem being faced due to layover flight Via Kolkatta wasting precious time. 

The eminent personality form Itanagar who boarded the Indigo direct flight to New Delhi are MP Nabam Rebia, MLA Dasanglu Pul, APSCS&T Chairman Bamang Mangha while MLA LOkam Tassar, NMOPS President Dakme Abo and others who come from the aid flight from New Delhi and others.
