Late Taker Nyigang Football Tournament Kicks Off in Kaying

KAYING, Aug 6: The inaugural edition of the Late Taker Nyigang Football Tournament commenced with enthusiasm as it was organized by the Central Solung Festival Celebration Committee Kaying(CSFCCK) at General Ground on Saturday. The tournament is being sponsored by Tatum Nyigang and his family in loving memory of their late father.

The event witnessed the presence of Arunachal Pradesh State Biodiversity Board Chairman Tayek Goi, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He urged all participating teams to play the game with sportsmanship spirit and discipline, emphasizing the importance of preserving the rich tribal culture and heritage.

During the program, Nyigang shed light on the significance of games and sports in daily life. CSFCCK President Talom Pabin and Sports Secretary Tasing Guan also shared their insights.

The opening match between Siang Taga FC and Kaying B FC saw an impressive performance from Siang Taga FC, who secured a commanding 6-0 victory. The tournament features a total of 16 teams competing for the coveted trophy.
